SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. -- Two Sacramento County sheriff's deputies were injured over the weekend while attempting to arrest a man accused of carjacking and robbery.

Authorities said a man tried to carjack a person in Antelope. The man then allegedly broke into a home and tried to rob people inside, police said.

Deputies spotted the man and chased him.

Authorities said the man hit one of the deputies on the head as they tried to arrest him.

The second deputy complained of chest pain after the chase.

Both deputies were checked out at a hospital and were expected to be fine.
